Here is the table runner I made as a house warming gift. It was quick and easy. I let the fabric do the work since I was short on time to get it finished before we went to our friends new home. She seemed very pleased with it. :0)
Here is a close up of how I machine quilted this one.
And here is the back.
This is what we had for dinner. Chicken Bryan. It was very good. (See the table cloth and the colors in it? I think I matched the table runner fabric fairly well to what she has going on in her home! Hooray!)
Surprise!! This beauty is two hexagon blocks hand pieced by a special friend of mine! She said she was really enjoying the part of picking out fabrics for it. :0)
I imagine she was VERY pleased with your housewarming gift...which reminds me , I just moved into a new house...lol. I really like the hexagon quilt square..what gorgeous colours. I was wondering if you were pleased with your teaching assignment.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job on the runner! It does match perfectly! I love the quilt motif too!

ReplyDeleteThe quilting on your tablerunner is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOoh - I LOVE that quilting!! I bet you overwhelmed your hostess with such a wonderful gesture of friendship. Karen, you're so thoughtful.
ReplyDeletePretty table runner! I love it, the colors and the quilting which is so, so sweet. What wonderful blocks your special friend made for you. I would guess who pieced those alluring, amazing hexagon blocks but I might be wrong and that would be embarrassing. So I'll just look at them and say oooh an ahhhh...
ReplyDeleteThe gift turned out just perfect. I know they will enjoy it for years to come. Great quilting too. Dinner sure did look good.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! those two blocks in the last photo. Wow1
