As I was working on them, I kept thinking to myself, boy I must be starting to get hot flashes, I am really sweating here. Then my daughter comes into my sewing room and says to me, boy it is really hot in here! (To myself, I thought I can't radiate that much heat can I? LOL) Come to find out our air-conditioner unit was on the fritz! It was up to 84F in my sewing room. We had a repair person come out and replace the unit. So needless to say, I didn't get any more blocks done.
I won a surprise "Giveaway"!!! Mary over at Quilt Hollow had pulled my name out of her surprise giveaway drawing. I won a Watermelon Thimbleberry kit! Thank-You Mary!!!

Toasty were ya? Gives true meaning to the word sweat shop. Fun to see your blocks coming along!!
ReplyDeleteYour signature blocks look great...what fun! You are moving right along with those!! Glad you got your air conditioning working fast! Air conditioning is a must these days. My son, in Puyallup, WA called ALL over and everyone was out so he had to get one from Wenatchee, WA and fast because they were running out too!!! Hope it works good as I'm on my way to visit on Saturday!!! Their house was 85 degrees before the unit was installed!!! Made my grandbaby sick, literally!
ReplyDeleteI like your signature blocks. Great fabric. That would have been a fun swap to join.
ReplyDeleteWhew, that is getting a little warm. Glad you got the AC fixed quickly.
